Lack of posts

Sorry for the silence on my blog folks.
I’m working on a big project at work and it’s been taking all hours of the day to get it done. After this weekend though I should have some more sketches AND the conclusion to the dream gnome up!

Patience is a virtue :P

Elf Concept Design

This is a character I drew up many many moons ago and gave a shot at creating once as one of my first characters. That was a wonderful learning experience, but I didn’t like the way she turned out. After all these years I think I’m ready to tackle her again and create her at a much higher quality!

Dress Designs

So in my spare time I like to sew and I draw dress designs for the fun of it. Now I don’t imagine I’ll be actually sewing these dresses, but they would look rather good on a character at some point!

Gremlin Concept

Came up with a neat gremlin concept. I never really got past the head, but I just love what I’ve done with it so I’m posting it anyway!
I’ll see what I can come up with for the body later.

Dream Gnome

Here’s the progress on my newest character, a dream gnome. The concept for this was supplied by my friend, Brad Lamey.
I’m going to make it so his skin is dark, while his eyes and inside his mouth glow. Kinda inverted from the usual norm and why he can’t be seen while he eats away at your dreams.

The mesh on the bottom will be the slime trail he’ll be emiting.

IPhone test

Just got the WordPress app on my IPhone, haha.

Going to make a lot more updates on this now that I can easily upload my photos and sketches through this.

Just been going through my large collection of work-in-progresses, should have them all uploaded in their various states tonight!

Lav-25 Coyote

Thought I’d do a refresh of the Lav-25 Coyote and rebuild the whole thing from scratch. Took me a good week, but now all of the modelling is done and I’ve just got to finish the UV mapping. Currently it’s standing at 7,846 Polygons / 14,364 Triangles. A lot lower than the one I made before (was around the 23,000 Triangles)

Now I’m expecting the UV mapping to take another good week, then I’ll have another post up for everyone!

Azrael Knight

Got the Character almost finished, just need to add the cloak and see if I can pose him. A few more poly’s than expected, currently sitting at just under 8,500 polygons. Looking good so far though, what do you think?
